This week at the club:
CASUAL WEDNESDAY: (September 1st) Casual chess in a relaxing atmosphere. Bring a friend or challenge a stranger to a game of chess during this weekly event. We open our doors at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome, and its free! This event will be hosted by Neil Dale.
FIRST THURSDAY BLITZ: (September 2nd) an unrated, double (or triple!?) round robin g/5 tourney. A popular event with our club players. Come and test your mettle against some of Portland's best blitz players. Doors open around 7 pm. Registration ends by 7:15. First round starts no later than 7:30. Entry fee is $5.
Please note that Friday Rapids and Saturday Quads will be cancelled this week due to the Oregon Open being held this weekend in Gresham.
